When he played here in Brazil, he was left back. But when he went to Europe, turned winger. He is no longer left back. He was never a big player in marking, and that's why he was one of the worst Brazil's players in last World Cup. As a winger, he would be an interesting hire. Good crossing, nice long range shots, quick ...
Although I think there are better options.

And like what Jorgefoo said, he was played out of position in the World Cup. He's not a LB.

there might be truth in this story, but it might be just that we want to buy him as a winger, and maybe backup LB, no way he's good enough to replace Pat
