Antonio Conte at Chelsea 2016/17

Not sure how I feel about this?!

Conte appears to be a really good young manager on paper. He's had success with Juve and done a decent job with the national side. But Italy and international football is so different. He'll need to learn about how football is played over here and adapt accordingly. I'm not saying he can't do it... I'm just not sure how he'll get on.

Result: Chelsea 3-0 Burnley - 27th August 2016

Three wins in the three games played this season.

Good start for all the traditional big clubs except for arsenal. This season it's more likely that one of the big three wins the title. The big three being Chelsea, United and City.

With them having no other distractions i.e. European football, they're strong contenders. Hazard back on fire, Kante shoring up that back line.

Yep completely agree... They've got a good balance throughout the team. They defend well and are organized, they have Kante to provide that cover any they have creativity and goals in attack. This is a team who will contend I'm pretty sure of that.

Deary me what a shambles!

A certain failing of their transfer window I feel? Signing Luiz was a joke, not sure where they think Alonso fits in until they play 3-5-2 and I'm sorry but Cahil is just not a good CB.

Premier League: Hull City 0-2 Chelsea - 1st October 2016

I think that's a pretty good start given that it's a new league with a team that were so bad last year? Add to that their the clown they have resigned in defense and it's even more impressive!

Those two defeats were to Liverpool who I think finish second and Arsenal who will be top 4 as always and he's got to be quietly pleased? I think they will be well placed to finish top 4 because they will improve as the season progresses and they settle under Conte.

At this point the only thing I can see stopping this juggernaut is if they do sell Costa. I know they were without him tonight but this was never going to be a game where they'd struggle without him. Further tests lie ahead if they can't get Costa focused.
