With the return of Beckham to Old Trafford my friend and I had an interesting debate regarding which player was the better for us: David Beckham or Cristiano Ronaldo? Two Manchester United greats, but I’d be interested to know who you preferred; I’ve created a poll for you to vote.
The following was our conclusion:
- Goals: Ronaldo
- Assists: Beckham
- Passing/Crossing: Beckham
- Work ethic: Beckham
- Dribbling: Ronaldo
- Match winner: Ronaldo
David Beckham’s record at United
- 399 appearances, 87 goals
- Premier League: 1995–96, 1996–97, 1998–99, 1999–00, 2000–01, 2002–03
- FA Cup: 1996, 1999
- UEFA Champions League: 1998–99
- Intercontinental Cup: 1999
- Community Shield: 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997
- FA Youth Cup: 1992
Cristiano Ronaldo’s record at United
- 292 appearances, 118 goals.
- Premier League: 2006–07, 2007–08, 2008-2009
- FA Cup: 2003–04
- League Cup: 2005–06, 2008–09
- FA Community Shield: 2007
- UEFA Champions League: 2007–08
- FIFA Club World Cup: 2008
My decision could have been decided by the toss of a coin but finanly decided on Ronaldo purely for his goals and match winning performances. My friend is in the Beckham camp.

Definately C Ronaldo. He is much better than Beckhem, very young, very energitic, much passionate, in simple words a perfect match winner.
