Cameron Stewart –Vs- Reading: The City winger was ineffective having been influential in the home fixture against Reading. With little impact, the United winger was substituted at half-time.
Corry Evans –Vs- Reading: Replacing Cameron Stewart on the right of a four man midfield, Evans took just six minutes to make his mark, stealing in to beat Ian Harte to prod in a debut goal. The midfielder made several cleaver runs and looked dangerous in a bright start to his City career.
Cameron Stewart –Vs- QPR: Like at Reading and in games before, Stewart is now heavily marked in games as the opposition have got wise to the player’s pace and trickery. An ineffective showing ended after 60 minutes, but Stewart did provide one or two nice touches as City held the league leaders 0-0.
Corry Evans –Vs- QPR: Starting his first game in central midfield, Evans did well both defensively and when attacking. Calm and composed in possession, the midfielder impressed on his home debut.
Cameron Stewart since signed for City permanently for £300,000 while their bid for Corry Evans was initially rejected, although Manchester United have asked to wait a further month before reconsidering if Evans has a future at Old Trafford.
Corry Evans –Vs- Leeds United: As against QPR, Evans started in central midfield. Having to replace the influential Ian Ashbee, Evans showed his tougher side in a feisty Yorkshire derby. Again showing nice touches in midfield reminiscent of training at a higher level, Evans is a player that City should try to sign permanently.
