Danny Armstrong

Age: 22

Age started supporting United: Since I can remember.

First kit: The blue 3rd kit from the 1996-7 season. It was a present off me mam and dad for my 6th birthday. I had Cole 9 printed on the back… because it was cheaper than Sheringham 10.

Favourite kit: The European kit of the late nineties we won the European Cup in.

Favourite player: Ronaldo, although I grew up idolising Roy Keane.

Favourite non-United player: Zinedine Zidane

First United game: Manchester United 2-2 Sheffield Wednesday, December 9 1996, Eric scored two. I remember me mam putting two pairs of braces on me it was that cold.

Favourite United match: We beat Villa 4-0 at home in 2008. We just bossed it from start to finish, I remember Anderson firing a fifty-yard pass to Rooney who applauded it before taking it under control. Ronaldo scored a backheel from the edge of the six yard box too, one of my favourite goals. I watched the whole 90 minutes in awe. That performance defined the season.

Memorable moments: Personally getting past ten tickets checks pretending to be a rep from Vodafone to get into the 2009 European Cup Final in Rome is a great memory. I was sat eating salmon and paella, sipping red wine and talking Russian to a manager for MasterCard in the executive suite before jibbing into the ground. Otherwise it would be going to Anfield after winning the 19th title.

Favourite goal: Scholes v Barcelona in THAT semi-final.

Interesting fact: I’ve been onto the Old Trafford pitch, legally, twice. Once to wave the Champions league flag against Panathanaikos and again to carry Urawa Red Diamond’s flag for a pre-season friendly in the Vodafone Cup. There are also too many jibs to mention.

Best ever United XI: Van der Sar, Irwin, Stam, Vidic, Gary Neville, Keane, Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo, Eric, Ruud.
