1. The momentum shows no signs of stopping
Four games. Four wins. Perfection. The football has been majestic and has been as perfect as the league table portrays. Even an international break couldn’t disrupt the momentum. Bolton are no pushovers but right now Manchester United are unstoppable and the team ripped them apart. Millions watched on as United tore apart Arsenal at Old Trafford and I am starting to feel that routs are the new norm for this squad. The speed of play, the clinical finishing, the solidness of the defence and a goalkeeper growing in confidence, they are THE team to beat in the Premier League.
2. Rooney and Hernandez – Still a fantastic partnership
Yet another hat-trick for Wayne Rooney while Chicharito opened his account for the season, with a brace, to pick up their partnership where they left off last season. On their day, these two are unplayable. Highly rated Bolton defender, Gary Cahill was left chasing Hernandez’s shadow for 90 minutes with the Mexican’s movement bedazzling him and everyone else watching on. The plaudits must go to Rooney who is currently in the form of his life right now with eight goals in the first four league games. After the hat-trick against Arsenal, he simply had to add another this afternoon. After all the bad form and the head turning of last season, this season he is certainly leading our charge to a 20th Premier League title.
3. Phil Jones can do anything
Phil Jones looks like he has been playing for Man United all his life. He has slotted in so perfectly already and is easily one of the most naturally gifted footballers we have in the squad. Asked to play at right back today and he was excellent. He can play anywhere and can do anything which was epitomised by the mazy run that led to United’s third goal. Superb. We lost a utility player in John O’Shea but it seems we have gained a better one. Definitely a key player this season.
4. David “van” De Gea
I know everyone keeps talking about our new goalkeeper but this is all positive from me I promise. This will not be De Gea’s busiest afternoon but, for me, he showed signs of being the successor to Edwin van der Sar the club believe him to be which is why I have no qualms alluding to the Dutch legend. His shot stopping and distribution was up there with his predecessor. Certainly a great answer to nonsense stories, circulating in the media this morning, that he was set to be dropped from the side. Sir Alex has faith in him and so do we, the fans, no matter what journalists have to say.
5. We have the strongest squad in the Premier League
Watching on television, the director chose to show a number of United players who were not involved in the match at the Reebok. Starting on the bench were: Lindegaard, Smalling, Fabio, Giggs, Park, Carrick & Berbatov. That is quite a bench. Sitting in the stands were: Macheda, Fletcher & Owen and you begin to wonder how they will get back into the first eleven with the way the incumbents are currently playing. The unfortunate injury to Cleverley has now opened up an opportunity now and with Benfica & Chelsea coming up in the next two games and many weeks of two fixtures per week, each member of the squad will have their role to play. The competition for places continues to excite me.

It has been a pleasure watching Man.United this season. When we were gutted to lose Welbeck, Chicarito came and fit in like a glove. When Young was having a rather queit afternoon (by his own standard) Nani raised his game with a couple of assist. Smallings needs rest? No problem. Jones can do an equivalent job. Hope Park/Fletcher can take up the hole left by cleverly (not Carrick please).
By the way I like this site. HAve been coming recently.
