The football fixtures for the 2010/11 season have been announced this morning. Thank you! Something to whet the appetite while we endure the 2010 World Cup.
The summer months without Manchester United are boring and this year is no different. The World Cup (the greatest football tournament in the world) was supposed to fill the void. Has the void been filled? Unfortunately not yet, the tournament has been a complete snooze fest. The Jose Mourinho blueprint has been followed… Hopefully, games become more open as the tournament progresses.
Anyway, back to the important stuff. Probably like many of you the first fixtures I look for is the opening game, Liverpool and Manchester City.
Newcastle is the opening weekend fixture. The same opening fixture from the 2008/09 season.
Liverpool: weekend (Saturday or Sunday due to television) of 18th September and 5th March.
Manchester City: (Wednesday) November 10th and weekend February 12th.
I’ve started the slow (but enjoyable) process of filling my phones diary with fixtures. Pre-season can’t come soon enough, 16th July we take on Celtic. Come on!!
First Four Fixtures:
Sat 14 August – Newcastle (h)
Sat 21 August – Fulham (a)
Sat 28 August – West Ham (h)
Sat 11 September – Everton (a)
What are your thoughts on the 2010/11 fixtures?

How are the run in fixtures for the usual suspects the title?
I am a bit worried for mid decenmber we play Arseanl away then the following week we have Chelsea away. Remember 2008, we played Liverpool away then Chelsea. We lost to liverpool and drew with Chelsea. Hopefully the same won’t happen again, on the other hand we want to win the double.
