Not many good right backs around at the moment. I'm happy with what we have but if we were to move for one Kyle Walker has to be top of the list for me

Clyne would be a lot cheaper than Walker

Walker looks a promising prospect. I don't think he's a realistic target - he'll probably be £10m+ and i doubt Spurs will be looking to sell. With the twins you don't know if their problem is a growing body or they are injury prone. If they could be available for a high percentage of matches there wouldn't be the need to buy a full back. Jones and Smalling are centre backs. Is the Clyne the answer? I don't know but he may have something about him.

As you said depends on how the twins do. Considering we have 2 centre backs who can cover right back as well not sure we need him. He has looked good when I've seen him though.

We're lacking more at left back with Evra's poor form, Fabio isn't a natural left back and Fryers isn't ready for first team football yet.

I've not been watching Cardiff and Palace. How is Clyne playing?

Been booked, could have had a 2nd. Looks good, don't think he's that United good though, still young though, I suppose raw is the right word. Better than the other player we've been linked with Zaha, who is mostly just a quick player, not got much more about him. He'll probably score the equaliser now.

Think there both decent players with good potential. Don't know whether their good enough for United but I think Zaha is more than just a quick player. Very tricky if he had a better final ball then he'd be a good player, seems to run out of steam fairly quickly as well.

Aye when their fit. That's their only problem is their injury problems don't seem to be going away, between the two of them they've played 15 times this season.

Yeah its a problem, however that's been the case with most of our players this season. Our injury list has been ridiculous. If we signed Clyne he'd probably do his metatarsal or something in his first game such is our luck

Well Sir Alex is a better judge than me but like you I wasn't overly impressed with him last night.

Rumours on twitter that he'll join us this summer.

£2-3m is the rumoured transfer fee which I find surprising given Clyne's a free agent in the summer. We will have to pay conpensation but the fee does seem high?

Yeah surprised by that, could be something to do with the new academy rules coming in. Not sure though, all I can think of.

Also, don't think he's that good. Certainly not as good as Rafael.

Probably paid a fee to ensure that he doesn't join someone else in the summer. As far as I'm aware we wouldn't be able to contact him till the summer if we didn't have a bid accepted.

Not seen much of Clyne but agree that Rafael is better, only question is his injury record.

United need Clyne, at least we have a deeper squad for injury...

Interesting. He seemed certain to join us. I hope we have another full back lined up If we don't sign Clyne. Simpson is rumoured to be leaving Newcastle, Clyne would be his replacement I assume.
