Going to the game, haven't been over in a while. Can anyone recommend any good pubs nearby ?
Ajax looked very poor the last day so we can afford to rest a few. Hoping Scholesy starts.
Seems like we've already wrapped this one up. I would expect Pogba to get a decent amount of time on the pitch, maybe even start, maybe one or two from Cole, Lingard, Pertucci, W.Keane will make the bench. Difficult game at the weekend so I'd expect quite a few to be rested, probably Rooney, Carrick, Rio or Evans. Berba will play if fit, Smalling will probably play and I'd expect Fabio to continue at LB. Not sure what to do with Nani, Cleverley and Jones, need games but they'll only get 2 days recovery before the Norwich game.
Don't expect as strong a side this week with Norwich away on the weekend. There'll probably be game time again for those who need it e.g. Amos, Fabio, Smalling, Jones, Nani, Young, Cleverley, Hernandez, Berbatov. Not sure if we can play Cleverley and Pogba in the same side, unless we play 3 in mid or push Tom wide. Need more protection defensively so could play Jones in there. Pogba needs a start though. Don't think we should take the tie for granted. Bench should be young though.
There's a good atmosphere, singing, beer then across the road to United! What time are you getting there?
Sounds good, think we get to Manchester around half 4. Wouldn't mind going to the megastore for a bit and maybe the trafford centre but I'd say we should be at a pub by half 6 or 7 at the latest. Knowing the lads they will want to start earlier than that but we'll see.
Rooney out of the game due to a sore throat. Not a huge blow, as long as he's fine for Sunday.
Doubt he would have played anyway.
hope Pogba gets a chance to start. Think de Gea needs to start in goal again too, to keep his confidence up. My predicted team is: de gea, Jones (fitness), Smalling (fitness), Evans, Fabio, Young (fitness), Pogba, Cleverley, Park, Hernandez, Berbatov
I think Jones and Smalling will play in the center and the twins play full backs. Not sure about de Gea starting, think amos will but would like de Gea to start. He's starting to come good and he needs to play. Young and Cleverley will def start the game, maybe Park in the middle and Nani on the right. Hernandez and Berbatov up front. Pogba will maybe get 25/30 mins.
My guess: Amos; Rafael, Evans, Smalling, Fabio; Nani, Cleverley, Jones, Pogba, Young; Berbatov.
Think Amos will start, got a feeling that De Gea will be rested with a big test at Norwich to come but then because of that it may be best to play him. Don't think Rafael will play RB on Sunday so i've gone with him at RB for tomorrow, think Fergie will opt for height of Smalling at RB on Sunday. Nani needs more minutes ahead of Sunday as does Young, Cleverley is a cert, i've gone with Jones and Pogba in mid with him as I think Pogba will start but don't think Fergie will risk playing him in a 2. Berba needs minutes. Jonny Evans captain.
that sounds spot on.Amos; Rafael, Evans, Smalling, Fabio; Nani, Cleverley, Jones, Pogba, Young; Berbatov.
No Pogba on the team bus apparently... disappointing.
yeah thats very disappointing. makes you wonder if he will be off in the summer then
I does make you wonder but I can't see Fergie just giving up on him unless it's been revealed that he has now signed for another club.
Alternatively he might be injured
Starting line up appearing on twitter...
De Gea, Rafael Jones Smalling Fabio, Nani Cleverley Park Young, Hernandez Berbatov
Rumour is that Pogba's been told to sign a new contract or he won't play at all. Didn't play for the Reserves the other day either. Good decision by Fergie and the club. He's a good talent but he's not even in the first team. Club shouldn't be held to ransom by some idiot agent.
Can't believe the Ajax fans are chanting songs about Suarez
Ditto.... no other reason than to piss off the MUFC fans there.
Not bad half. Just need to take a grip of the match in the second half and finish them off. Do not fancey having a stressful Thursday night!
ooh getting back there
Great save De Gea - thought that was going in
