Very excited about this deal. Only properly sunk in seeing him with the shirt.

I think it'd look a bit better if it had a white collar. I think I prefer the home kit to the away one. I'm sure both will look better when we're playing.

The kits grown on me a bit. The main thing that pissed me off most about it in the first place was Nike deciding to preach to us about Manchesters industrial heritage.

Apparently he's rejected the #7 shirt, apparently he wants 23 or 29.

In all honesty does it matter who wears #7? After all it's only a number, if you're good enough to play for the reds it doesn't matter what number you've got on your back...

I do think the importance of the number 7 shirt is overstated. A 'star' player wearing the number is a relatively new thing (last 20-30 years). Best wore several numbers.

If true, like his attitude, doesn't want to be in the limelight perhaps. I think it may be the same for Valencia. Nani is more suited to it than anyone, if he stays. Hope he does. Maybe it'll go to a new signing.

Kagawa will be an excellent signing. Less than 15m for a 23 year old, proven to be highly effective in a championship winning side. Provides goals and assists, 2 good feet, good pace and technically gifted.

Comes across as an intelligent, humble guy. Confident in his ability but not ego driven. Combine that with his footballing ability and you've got the makings of a great player. Think he's making the right choice regarding the 7 shirt. Probably better to give it to Nani than Kagawa wearing it and the fans expecting too much of him too soon.

Agreed on the #7. We've already learned to expect little from Nani

Can't wait to see him play.
I bet JT wished Chelsea had got him.

Shinji Kagawa: "It's a great honour to be here. The language is important & I'm really motivated to learn English."

SAF: "Kagawa will play further forward. We shouldn't be looking at one player changing the way we play but he could make a difference. He can give us that extra in the final third of the field. If his goalscoring record continues he could be a very good player for us."

"Shinji's coming to South Africa with us and then to China so I think you'll be seeing him pretty soon. Once he's adapted and gets to know some football phrases our players will use, he'll be used to that. He can start the first league game quite easily. I've got no problem with that."

I personally believe Kagawa is a better player than Gotze. would be very exciting to see him here at United. Can't believe we got him for so cheat (16 mil?).

^ So I thought he didn't speak English? For a guy who doesn't, he's not doing bad at all.
