    Dembele was very quiet yesterday. I didn't see the loss to Spurs at OT earlier in the season, what was he like that day?

    Apart from that, no one I can think of either. Shame we had to play him at CB v Everton, things might have been different.

    Yeah, off game for Carrick. He was okay in fulfilling his defensive duties, but was poor in possession. He wasn't helped by either midfield partner. Anderson was poor and Jones' positional awareness and passing/ball retention are weaker points.

    Hope that is the case.

    Thought Carrick was excellent from what I saw on Saturday, played a few excellent balls through the middle that were failed to be capitalized on. It's an area of his game that we have seen a lot more this season, he's becoming more of a play maker now that Scholes isn't featuring as much.

    Great to hear the fans chanting about him today. Away fans class again. Thought Carrick struggled for bits of the game with Giggs wandering a bit he was left with no one to pass to and had to do a lot of work on his own. That's not to say Giggs didn't play well, he did, but positionally he's not great for a CM.

    Some of us have been waiting years for a Carrick song. Really happy it's finally happened. Not sure about the chant itself but just glad people are finally recognising his contribution. I don't think he's playing any better than he did last season though really. Defensively excellent yesterday, thought his passing was a bit off perhaps because of Giggs' positioning. Seemed a bit of a weird time for the chant to be brought up. Not complaining though.

    With Jones potentially out of the Real Madrid game, he'll have some extra duties and he'll need to be on top of his game.

    Our lack of depth in midfield has also cost us today along with other things, Carrick should have been rested on Saturday but we were unable to as we don't have the backup for him. He's played 270 mins since Tuesday. Needs addressing in the summer, have a feeling we may stick with what we have and put faith in Fletcher. Depends how much is in the 'kitty' I suppose.
