Great to see him get off and running. The goal may just get him a start in the next game

The forwards in Argentina's latest squad are Messi, Higuaín, Lavezzi, Agüero and... Franco Di Santo.
How has this happened?
I hope there are two professional footballers named Franco Di Santo.
Henriquez starts v Macclesfield in the Cup.
Played the full 90. Didn't have a lot to do by the sounds of it but his movement impressed.
Henriquez is on the bench v Stoke.
Henriquez on the bench v Southampton.
Henriquez on the bench v Huddersfield. Was hoping he'd start today.
Same. I was looking forward to watching him. He hasn't started many games since going there.
Bring Angelo on!
He'd have got more playing time staying at United. He's only made 2 appearances both as subs. Especially if we can wrap up the title up early he'd have got a game or two then.
Not sure about that, Cordon. Henriquez is nearer to first team football at Wigan than he is at United. At Wigan there is a Spanish speaking manager and players. Any game time is a bonus. To be fair to Martinez, Wigan's survival is more important than the development of a Manchester United player.
At 3-1 up, it seems a bit of a risk to bring a young striker on. If they were chasing the game, he probably would have come on. Martinez is a very good coach, it's not just about Henriquez getting gametime, we could have sent him to a Championship club for that. He's only 18, he's never been on the bench for us, only had a few Reserve outings, new to the country, he'll be involved and get some gametime at Wigan and at the same time learn from Martinez. Wigan might not be doing well but if you look at the players that are there, he's brought the best out of them, someone like Shaun Maloney has been reborn thanks to Martinez. Young players like McCarthy and McArthur have become good players. And he did wonders with Cleverley who was 21 at the time.
We'll be able to judge if this was a success or not in the future. Too early to say that it's pointless.
Henriquez on the bench v Reading.
Henriquez on the bench v Newcastle.
On the bench v QPR.
This loan spell for him has been pointless as he has rarely played.
He would be better off in the U21's as they need a striker
I'd disagree that it's been pointless, been involved more in first team matchdays than he would have with us. Don't think U21s football has been any better than the Reserve league maybe even worse, so don't think he'd have been better off there. Yes it'd be better if he was playing but I think just being involved in matchday preparation with a Prem side is better than playing U21 football. Martinez is a good coach too. I'm sure Fergie would have recalled him by now if he thought him being there was of no benefit. Still only 18 and new to the country, not crucial that he plays week in week out yet. Next season i'd expect him to go out on loan again and play a lot more.
Keeping him in the U21's, now that would of been pointless.
I accept that the experience of match days with a first team in the Premiere League is good, and I wouldnt expect him to play every game, but surely it would be beneficial for him to get more game time than he has been getting, and therefore U21's wouldnt be pointless.
We even played Lindegaard in net for the U21's twice already as he needs some game time, so was that pointless too?
Last couple of seasons have not been good for some players going out on loan.
Came on in the very last minute today. Good experience for him, getting a (brief) runout at Wembley. Could end up with a winner's medal which is more than most of our squad.
Delighted for Wigan, hope they stay up too, it'd show you don't have to prioritise one. Their cup run has perhaps given them the confidence to do better in the league. For a team with little resources, they're doing extremely well.
Fair play to Wigan to getting to the final, would also like to see them stay up
