I didn't spot another thread on Park in this section so i posted this new thread about Ji.

How did you guys think he did tonight? I know he got taken off for Scholesy but i have nothing but admiration for the guy.

Fergie usually has no problem throwing him into the big games and he's like your neighbour's terrier with a bone! Never gives up and never gives up chasing lost causes.

Three-lung Park as some of our fans like to call him.

Was all over the Park (pun unintended) tonight. Massive amount of energy, thought he was good in attack tonight too.

Awesome player. Not world class for his skills (which are not inconsiderable nonetheless), but for his work rate, movement and mental strength. He is a top international and does not get fazed by big games, which is why Fergie trusts him in the important games. When he was out for a while with the Asian Cup and injuries, our midfield and forward play was way too static (can see Vidic often gesticulating to the upfield players and end up passing the ball backwards). With Park back, he buzzes around continuously, creating space for the other players and releasing pressure off players like Carrick who now have more options for the pass. Nevermind if Park sometimes loses the ball or doesn't do much with it, his movement alone changes the way we play, for the positive.

Loved it when the crowd was signing his song during the Everton game even though he wasn't playing.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Fergie started Park in the final.

He is very under-rated as a player.
Never going to be a show stopper but equally doesn't have a bad game.
Some players have a handful of 8/9 out of 10 performances and are portrayed as great players but have quite a few below par performances. Where as Park is a constant 7 out of 10 player.

Exactly, i think Park is a better player than most people give him credit for.

Loved the role he played against AC Milan last season, when he created the new position of DAM (Defensive Attacking Midfielder). Mark AC's quarterback (Pirl when AC has possession, and attack the space behind Pirlo when United have possession.

Missed him a lot when he was with Korea and then injured. Would have got at least a point vs both Liverpool and Chelsea with him.

I think it was Park's greatest ever game in a United shirt! He didn't score but bloody hell he was awesome! 10/10.

First 15 mins maybe longer, I can't remember, my mind was blown... anyway first 15 mins he was winning everything, I think he shut them up really. He stunned them.

was our best midfielder in the game, energy throughout the game, and the only one who actually tried to close Barca down!! he was coming so central to close down players Giggsy and Carrick were supposed to!! I'm happy with his performance last night

I'm not convinced with Park in central midfield. I think he was supposed to be the advanced midfielder but he failed to link midfield and attack.

Very poor, also don't rate him in a 2 man midfield. He was brilliant in 09-10 when playing in a 3 in CL.

Park has been a wonderful servant for United but I think it's time we move on. When asked to provide creativity he comes up short.
