U18s: Manchester United vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Manchester United's U18s play Tottenham Hotspur in the Under-18 Premier League on Saturday morning, at Carrington, kick off is 11am. The match is live on MUTV.
United: Gollini; Love, Grimshaw, Dalley, Rowley; Weir, Barmby, Daehli, Gorre; Pereira, Wilson.
Bench: Joel Pereira, Wilkonson, McNair, Harrop.
I quite like seeing Pereira playing off Wilson. Two intelligent players,
Missed the first half. 1-0 Spurs at half time.
Think we're missing Rudge and Pearson in midfield a bit although we came into the game more in the last 20 mins.
Bright start to the second half for United. Decent effort from Wilson and Love hit the post.
1-1, Gorre beats the goalkeeper from a tight angle. Barmby with assist.
Good volleyed effort from outside the area by Love.
2-1, Wilson utilises his pace and strength to brush of a Spurs defender then rounds the keeper. I believe Pereira with the assist.
3-1, Wilson again. Great full back play from Love providing the assist.
2nd half much better. Wilson's finishing is incredible. Don Love at RB was great going forward, brilliant for the 3rd; made the tackle, got up, bombed forward, retreived pass, set up Wilson to score.
Good game today. After 20 mins i was thinking "bloody hell we cant get keep the ball". But the longer the match went on the better we got. Ended up in total control.
Fringes of First Team
Very good second half performance. Wilson had two sniffs and and two goals - his second was very good. Not sure about Daehli in the middle, he's much more of a threat out wide given freedom.
