Team: Sutherland; Grimshaw, Dalley, Ioannou, Evans; Weir, Pearson, Rudge; Daehli; Januzaj, Wilson.

Subs: Gollini, Barmby, Gorre, Byrne, Rothwell.

    Great to see Ioannou back.

Wilson nearly gives United an early lead narrowly missing after a sloppy pass from a Southampton defender.

Wilson should have scored from a cross from Daehli.

1-0 United, Wilson. Januzaj provided the assist with an excellent cross from a freekick on the left. Wilson side footed the opportunity from 6 yards out.

Didn't take long for Southampton to pull one back. The left winger has been their only real threat so far.

Januzaj and Daehil ran the first half. Good performance all round, limited Southampton to creating chances from corners and freekicks in the main whilst we've looked a threat most of the time we've gone forward.

Read an article the other day saying that there was no one outstanding in our Academy...

Southampton aren't exactly a bad side either, they are top of the table in our group. I am however unsure whether this is their strongest side.

Great to see Ioannou back before the FAYC game next Friday. Rothwell on the bench too which is a big plus.

    Gorre replaces Daehli.

4-1. Wilson rounds the goalkeeper and finishes from a tight angle to score his second of the game. Weir with the assist.
