    Re: Mats Møller Dæhli.

Heard about this the other night on twitter from some Norweigans. Was told he is the most exciting thing to come out of Norway ever and has been compared in style to Xavi. Got to get this kid on the books. Rumour is we'll sign him when he turns 16.

Went looking for a few videos earlier. There's videos of his games and he looked very good. Norway seem to have a lot of good youngsters coming through.

Only one. Not actually sure which one he is but I assume he's the good one. haha. Seen a picture of him and he looks like the one who scores the goals.

Apparently we've signed this kid. He's expected to join up with the U18s in February. If you don't know, this kid is the most exciting prospect to have ever come out of Norway, also been compared to Xavi.

“We are just happy to send such a good player as Mats to the best club in England. Had it been Leeds [United] or Everton it would have been difficult. Man United is a professional, serious club. You have a lot of Norwegians there like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and we believe it is safe for him."

    Lol!! gotta love his manager

but i do resent his last statement that none of Eikrem, King or Hussein are gonna make it! utter nonsense that!

I've not seen enough of Etzaz, but of what i've seen he looks very skillful, the only thing that worries me is his build, hopefully he grows like Magnus has. Not seen enough to comment fully but I liked what i've seen from the Highlights of U18s games i've seen.

New Manchester United signing Mats Moller Daehli the most naturally gifted player to emerge from Norway in a generation - top Scandinavian scout - Goal.com

Iversen was a very good player until he got injured apparently, don't remember much about him.

Hussain has apparently left the club temporarily/permanently to go back to Norway, apparently he's disappointed by the lack of games he's getting. He's training with Stabaek in Norway now. Unknown if it's permanent or not.

As I said he's disappointed by the lack of games he's getting according to @parkconsulting on twitter who follows the Academy closely.

oh! missed that part of your post Jason.
well can't blame him, with Pogba and Tunnicliffe so brilliant together, and with emergence of Cole and Lingard means he hasn't got many chances, also with he likes of Van Velzen, Barmby, Hendrie and Gorre starting to play, his chances would have reduced even more.

He's played 6 out of 11. So impatient, you're at the biggest club in the world son, you don't walk away, you wait and prove you're worth it.

I believe so, given his apparent quality he should feature this season, I doubt it'll be soon though, month's time... Norwegian league finished back in Autumn so i'd imagine he ain't played since then so his fitness levels will need to be brought up before then. Could play a few U16 games first. I think we'll see a bit of him before the season is out.

Vere excited about this kid now.

From @RBFlemma: Mats Dæhli has been doing well in training for #mufc. Earlier this week he trained with reserves (Valencia, Brown, Fabi. And according to @LarsPet Dæhli trained with some of the #mufc first team players today (Carrick). Exciting prospect.

Great stuff. Is there anywhere you can see under 16 games or even get information on the matches ?

Twitter is the only way mate, U-16 games are not televised to protect the youngsters
