Big series for England. It'll show truly where England are at the moment, I feel the bowlers have to improve on the Sri Lanka tests, though the Batsmen will just be looking to continue their form. Although Strauss will be looking to improve.

Really looking forward to this series. England's team selection is interesting. Bresnan will fancy his chances of returning to the team ahead of Broad. Both are fairly equal in terms of batting but Bresnan is the form player with the ball.

Agreed there. Broad was bowling well but he had no luck whatsoever, he was always close to getting a wicket. I was surprised Onions wasn't given a chance when Jimmy got injured. I like Finn but think a different type of bowler was needed. Finn and Tremlett are both big men. Broad is a pretty similar bowler too. Suppose, Finn was next in line though and it would have been harsh to leave him out. With Bresnan back I presume he'll be in. There are a number of bowlers with a chance though, good competition when everyone's fit.

Sachin Tendulkar has never scored a test century at Lord's in 4 test matches he has played there.Hope he can break that jinx and get one.

If ever a cricketer deserved to score a century at Lords it's the Little Master.

I cannot believe that. Never scored a ton at Lords? How many tons has he got?

India should beat Aus down under, if last winter is anything to go by.

He has 51 tons in Test cricket but never got one at Lord's. His best at that ground is 45 something. He has scored just 149 runs from 4 matches from the source I saw yesterday.

Is the test series eagerly anticipated in India, Ashwin?

I remember the World Cup games that were so eagerly anticipated here.knockout stage games had a different feeling to it.Being the home team,we were under immense pressure from the media just as the English football team come under from their media! But we coped with it surprisingly well. The final too.the one who won the toss was tipped to win and when we lost the toss,I remember the crowd going silent in shock! But I was confident we could do it.After the start we go I felt confident we'd win it but Jaywardene's innings was worthy of any WC win.until Dhoni played the innings of his life! I was sitting on the same end where he hit the six of the final ball! Will never forget those memories.

Good toss for India to win. Conditions are perfect for bowling.

Broad preferred over Bresnan. Pressure on Broad to perform now.

Brilliant batting from Pietersen, a joy to watch. 49 runs off the last 4 overs.

England bowled poorly last night, their bowling lines were all over. Hopefully the bowlers will up their performance levels today.
