Four Brits all dispatched with ease today - Watson, Baltacha, Robson and Ward.
Next up Keovothang and Murray.
Murray has got a tricky and up and coming American player in the first round. I wouldn't be surprised if Harrison took a set off Murray.
Will anyone be getting up in the night to watch any matches?
Nope. Might watch a few of the women's matches highlights or replays, they're generally pretty good for eye candy, but can't say I find tennis that interesting unless it's a couple of the top players playing each other.
Might have a gander then if it's not on too late.
Watson and Robson had tough opponents to be fair
I think baltacha will be the most disappointed as that was a match up that she should have won
Baltacha is rubbish lol and keothavong.Don't watch much tennis outside Wimbledon maybe some of the big matches if they are on ESPN or if there is some eye candy like speedy said.
Used to be really into tennis but I haven't kept the same level of interest over the last few years. I'd still watch the slams but not as many tour events as I used to. Main reason is that I don't really follow anyone anymore. I used to be a big Lleyton Hewitt fan but injuries have caught up with him and he doesn't compete in many events anymore.
The players I enjoy watching at the moment are Gasquet, Del Potro and obviously I'd like Murray to win a slam. Gasquet has an incredibly good technique, despite what's said about one armed back hands. I would love him to fulfill his potential but he doesn't seem to have the same work ethic as the other top players.
As for Del Potro I feel if he stayed fit and hungry he could potentially dominate. Djokovic's form last year was frighteningly good but I feel Del Potro could reach a similar level if things go for him.
Murray through in four. Apparently sluggish performance
Hewitt-Roddick tonight. Won't be getting up for it but hope Hewitt wins.
Federer and Nadal safely through.
Roddick ftw never like hewitt me
Hewitt seems to split opinions - his 'Come On' annoys a lot of people..... Think a player, could have been Chela, tried hitting Hewitt with the tennis ball from a serve before because he got so fed up with him
Lol
The Hewitt rodick match will probably be on around ten tomorrow morning. Think Rodick will have a bit too much for Hewitt. The old guys of the tour now.
One set each for Hewitt roddick
Roddick retires
hewitt still knows how to bring it. Through to second week. Next round only the matter of Novak djokovic to get past
Serena's defeat a big shock. Does that leave the door open for Wozniacki?
Hope so. That lass is easy on the eye.
Still attractive? lol

Oh dear god. I guess nobody's perfect......
Well she will probably be knocked out the next round by Clisters. She was at the Liverpool city game.
Was in the bookies earlier - threw a few bob on Del Potro to win the tournament. His odds were 20-1 which was incredible...... Had Nadal to win wimbledon at 18-1 a few years back - unfortunately Federer beat him in the final. There is value to be had in tennis matches though. I know Del Potro is playing Federer and he won't be at all fancied but still he's woth a punt.
Federer two sets up against del potro at the moment
