Great interview, i'm looking forward to seeing how he does at Molde. Although he will be missed at United.

ELCHE: Agreement signed with manager Molde FK in November, extending the summer of 2014.

But Solskjaer has also secured an option to change employer right after the end of the season in 2012 and 2013. It confirms he faced Romsdals Budstikke.

    - Since I've been in Manchester United, it is quite natural that I be allowed to go there if they would come on the pitch at some point.

We follow Molde: Latest news about the club
    - Is there an open clause or is the only United?

    - I have no opportunity to change clubs within Norway, to put it that way. It must be the case in a Premier League club in the Manchester area, "said Solskjaer, who will not comment on further details of the contract.

    - Pure Insurance
He stressed that the clause is just a pure insurance. Solskjaer bubbles over with enthusiasm for MFK-job where he sits and relaxes outside Milenio Hotel Elche.

    - But it's allowed to dream. I have always had great visions. My goal is to win gold with Molde. And I have a dream to train Manchester United again in the future. Some say I'm stupid who thinks so, but for me it is quite natural. Who knows what happens in two, five or ten years? Ask Solskjaer.

If it should be relevant to a return to Old Trafford, only the job of Sir Alex Ferguson as deadlines.

    - I could have taken a step up and participated in the appliance around the first team at United now. But I'm not interested in it, I will be in charge. Should I return to the United once, the boss. Is it wrong, I must take the blame on me. How will I have it.

We follow Man Utd: Latest news about the club here
    Long-term
For the moment will be like successor kristiansund Molde manager for many years to come.

    - I have moved back home with the family and have absolutely no plans to leave Molde before my contract expires. If I feel happy and successful club, I'd be there much longer. I could not have had it better than I have right now, he smiles.

37-year-old talks enthusiastically about how he has been received in Molde FK.

    - I'm so happy. I am very happy that I have come home to Molde and Kristiansund, and am very happy at work. There is great atmosphere every day, it's smile and enthusiasm everywhere. Then it's nice to come in the office, "he said.

Already just over a year ago, he was the first request from MFK.

    - I do not remember exactly when it was, but the message was that they wanted me to Molde the day I wanted to go home. A Swedish or Senegalese are not in Molde forever, either as player or coach. But I can be there for long, maybe a lifetime, "said Solskjaer.

    - The right choice
He is confident that he made the right choice when he left Manchester United for the benefit of Molde.

    - In the United players, I developed and got an extra good feeling when someone is successful and debuted on the first team. In Molde, I will help the boys to win a trophy or get ahead in their career. If I can manage it, I've accomplished something as a manager.

    - That is why we stand on the sidelines every day. Not for our own sake, but because we have a desire that the players and the club will be better, "he said.

Sometimes taking Solskjaer with a buddy as a conversation partner to make the journey over the mountain Furset bit shorter.

He estimates that he spends 12 hours of every day on MFK.

Mail and telephone are both day and night.

    - I really want to think about football all the time, but of course give priority to family when I have spare time, "said Solskjaer.

Busy days. But he acknowledges that he is not always good at football shut out in the evenings. He's won the job is absorbing, both as player and coach.

    - I like to sit down on the couch and watch a good movie when I relax, but lately I have not had time. I have three kids on two, seven and ten years. So there is plenty to do as well at home , smiling Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Today await new workouts in Elche. Friday will meet Ukrainian Karpaty Molde in the first round of the Copa del Sol.

It's great that people can be loyal even when they've left...Ole i think appreciates everything that United did for him through the time of his injuries and also making him into a better player, lets hope we reap the rewards and he goes on to become a good manager for Molde...and hopefully (but lets not put too much expectation on those broad shoulders)for United...and if he never comes back...all the best Ole....never forgotten.

It's hard not to stay loyal to Ole, seems a genuine nice guy and he's an absolute legend. I'd like him to come back one day, but I can't see it happening if he's not going to manage anywhere else. Unless he wins title after title in Norway.

In Molde's opening game of pre-season, Eikrem apparently impressed. In their second pre-season match Molde drew 1-1, but lost on penalties. Molde play Tromsø later today.

Tromsø 5 Molde 1. Eikrem apparently played at some point during the second half.

That must be one of Ole's biggest beating as a boss. Don't think the Reserves were ever that badly beaten. Molde are very on/off according to some Norwegians.

Molde lost 3-0 in the opening game of the Norwegian league. Ole gave an interview before the game on what things he had to address.
"First, I wanted the dressing rooms fixed. I want the players to come in and enjoy themselves, I want them to feel comfortable."
"Also, our offices. I want everyone together in the same room so it's easier for us to communicate about whatever needs communicating about"
Ole on what he's learnt from SAF: "He picks a team he thinks can win the next game, that way you can change players, but you are building for the future many gets to play, and they feel a part of the team. And THAT is important."

Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a surprise candidate to be Blackburn manager if Steve Kean goes - News - MirrorFootball.co.uk

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the shock name on Blackburn's list of managerial targets, as current boss Steve Kean fights to save his job.

Former Manchester United striker Solskjaer has taken Molde to the brink of the league title in his Norwegian homeland since leaving his post with the Old Trafford reserves.

And the 38-year-old - still a managerial novice - could get the call if Kean cannot turn round Blackburn's stuttering season, which continues at Saturday lunchtime with a tough home game against Arsenal.

Club owners Venky's insist they are standing by Kean, but just one point from the first four games, coming on the back of a final-day escape from relegation last season, have sparked fan protests, with 1,000 expected to march before this weekend's game.

Experienced, unattached bosses such as ex-Rovers gaffer Mark Hughes and Dave Jones have also been linked strongly if a vacancy comes up, but Solskjaer has emerged as a bright new 'name' candidate.

Molde are top of the table and have eight games to go, but Solskjaer and his English side-kick Mark Dempsey could be persuaded to come back to the Premier League.

The legendary United goalscorer cut his teeth coaching the Old Trafford reserves and has an image and connections that make him attractive to the Indian hierarchy at Rovers.

Solskjaer's agent, Jim Solbakken, refused to comment on the possibility.

"Blackburn Rovers have a manager," he said. "And Ole is doing very well in Norway."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the verge of making history with Molde | Amy Lawrence | Football | guardian.co.uk

For Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the opportunity to continue his coaching education in a place where he could not possibly feel any more at home sounded like perfection. Molde FK were the club that had been his springboard as a promising youth in the mid-1990s. His record of 31 goals in 38 games in Norway's top division helped to convince Sir Alex Ferguson that the kid was worth a gamble in 1996, and the pair went on to bathe shining light on to each other's careers. The Manchester United manager found a player whose knack for timely goals became legend. The Norwegian player found a mentor who gave him opportunities not only to play on the loftiest of stages, but also to start out as a coach when he was given control of United's reserve team. It took him 20 seconds to say yes to that particular opportunity.

Solskjaer returned to Norway last January with Ferguson's best wishes. "Once he gets experience of managing a club in its own right who knows where it will take him?" the Scot mused.

Solskjaer was especially keen to take his "dream job" as it would enable him to take his three children back towards their roots. He promised his wife they would go home once he finished playing. The Solskjaers live in Kristiansund, the series of islands that make up his home town on Norway's western coast, with a population of just over 20,000. It takes around an hour for him to commute to work in Molde. Ferguson had advised him that one of the most important factors in choosing a first job was to work with people he liked. That box was ticked in bold. The feeling was mutual.

Following his appointment there was a rush in season-ticket sales. The club had finished 11th in a league of 16 teams last season. Solskjaer began life as a manager at a club in need of a boost. His debut match, against newly promoted Sarpsborg 08 (opponents so raw they are only three years old) ended disastrously, the final score Sarpsborg 3 Molde 0.

United fans will recall Solskjaer as a player who had an uncanny gift for turning up at just the right moment with just the right touch, though, and with that early hiccup out of the way Solskjaer the manager is in position to strike gold with Molde. Today they stand top of the Tippeligaen, six points clear of their nearest challengers, Tromso, having played one game more, with seven games remaining. It is a nervy but exciting time.

Not that they need any extra pressure, but Molde are in their centenary year, and they have never before won the Norwegian title. One game stands out in the run-in: Molde visit Tromso on Sunday week. That situation demands Solskjaer's most inspiring team talk yet. As he has been well taught, squeaky bum time is what separates the winners from the rest.

5-1. The title is Ole's. Molde have won the Norwegian League for the first time in their history and Ole is the man to win it.
