    Diouf At Hannover

Read more: Blackpool - Bid Accepted for Manchester United Man

Blackpool have had a bid accepted for Manchester United attacker Mame Biram Diouf.

Rumours broke out yesterday that the Seasiders were in the hunt for the Senegal international and that has since become fact after a number of reputable sources of information are confirming an accepted bid privately.

The fee is not known and it would be difficult to speculate on. Likewise with the player's wages.

Interesting. Not surprising with the amount of strikers we have. Didn't look like he was going to get a chance on tour.

The Championship is Diouf's level if he wants regular football.

I think he'd be a good buy for Blackpool. Won't get many chances if he stays anyway.

"I've not heard about that one," he said of Blackpool's reported interest on Sky Sports News.

"People are asking me about Blackpool, but no one's spoken to me. It's all just rumours.

"Of course I'd like to stay at Manchester United, everyone dreams about playing for this club.

"When I got a chance to be with them I always wanted to be here. I want to win trophies here.

"I'll do my best, but we'll see what happens after pre-season."

Manchester United willing sell Mame Biram Diouf but want £6m for striker linked Blackburn Everton Fulham - Transfer News - MirrorFootball.co.uk

Manchester United want a staggering £6million fee for Mame Biram Diouf - after snubbing moves from Premier League rivals to take the reserve striker on loan

Blackburn, Everton and Fulham have all checked out Diouf’s availability, but none seem keen on him at United’s inflated valuation.

Fergie rates him highly and is always mentioning him when talking about youth. He might be doing this to increase interest though.

Diouf keen on loan | Manchester United News, Fixtures, Results, Transfers | Sky Sports

Mame Biram Diouf has confirmed to skysports.com that he thinks a loan move could be the best option for him this season.

The Senegal international spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers, before returning to Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson is understood to rate the 23-year-old highly, but with a plethora of outstanding attacking options - he is on the periphery of the first-team picture.

Diouf has been limited to Carling Cup performances so far this season and he knows he cannot demand a place in the team with the players ahead of him.

"It is not easy for me, but to be honest unless you are Messi or Ronaldo you are not going to get in the attack of Manchester United," he told skysports.com.

"Sometimes you have a winner of the Golden Ball (Owen) or last season's top scorer (Berbatov) not even on the bench, in the last game the striker substitutes were: Rooney and Hernandez.

"I will keep on fighting and see, going on a loan to play regularly would benefit both parties."

A host of Championship clubs are thought to be keen on landing him on loan.

We will be lucky to give him away at the moment,no future at united which is a shame as when I saw him v burnley a couple of years ago he looked lively and even scored but seems to have gone nowhere since then.

same reason I feel sorry for Berba, at their ages they deserve to be playing regularly and not playing one game here and there and then getting slammed for performing badly.

Another 2 goals today, 9 in 9 starts now. Can't see him making it at United but he could have a good career elsewhere. He's at an age where he should be playing regular first team football too.

Seems to have played well in the reserves but every time I've seen him in the first time he's looked clueless (probably due to him not getting first team football often). Would be best for the player and club if we got rid in January, to me he's its pretty clear he's not United standard.

The Championship is nearer to Diouf's level. The standard of reserve football is fairly weak. Fergie recently criticised the standard, by saying it is basically a youth league or suggesting something similar. This also should be remembered when discussing our younger players in the reserves and their readiness for first team football. Loan spells are more productive and provide a better indication of readiness.

True. The standard of reserve football sounds like it used to be a lot better, it'll be scrapped in a few years, which is a shame.

Would be more beneficial for United to have similar to Spain and have the reseves/B team play in the league pyramid. Has worked wonders for Barcelona blooding in their young talents. Not sure the lower league teams would agree however.

It is a shame. Would be great if a solution could be found..

Speedy's suggestion would be ideal from our viewpoint. Maybe not for lower league clubs as seven points out.

I think it's been said that the U18's league will change to an U19s or U21s or something and an U17 league will come in too.
