Result: Manchester United’s Goal of the Month for March

A poll to decide goal of the month for March has been open for approximately two weeks on Stretford End Arising.

The Nominees for Goal of the Month were:

• Paul Scholes v Wolves
• Wayne Rooney’s 1^st v AC Milan
• Wayne Rooney’s 2^nd v AC Milan
• Wayne Rooney’s 2^nd goal v Fulham
• Ji-Sung Park v Liverpool

A total of forty eight votes were placed with Ji Sung Park the clear winner with 58% of the votes. Personally, I was quite surprised Park won by such a clear margin; I’m guessing the landslide victory was due to the opposition the goal was against? Manchester United’s victory over Liverpool.

Originally included for sentimental reasons (100^th Premier League goal) I was pleasantly surprised to see Paul Scholes place second. Scholes is a true United legend, for his 100^thgoal to be a winner is fitting for the man.
